They come from Kojima et al. (2010).<\/p>\n<p><strong>Characteristics of learning strategies:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Learners can use multiple strategies<\/li>\n<li>Learners can learn new strategies from the teacher<\/li>\n<li>Learners can use a new strategy in a subsequent task that is similar to the previous one.<\/li>\n<li>Learning strategies can change depending on the learning environment.<\/li>\n<li>When we use learning strategies, we use them to accomplish an objective.<\/li>\n<li>There are no good strategies of bad strategies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Sapphire is particularly interested in metacognitive strategies.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>These are the strategies that learners use to manage their learning. Such strategies are planning, self-monitoring, self-evaluation, and problem identification.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>Social strategies<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Strategies that learners use to communicate with others in order to accomplish an activity.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Crazy Chicken<\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Question:\u00a0<\/strong>How do the teachers use focus on form in the class?<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Analysis:\u00a0<\/strong>Analyze teacher talk and instruction for various focus on form techniques:\n<ul>\n<li><strong>Implicit attention directing techniques:\u00a0<\/strong>Input flood, input enhancement, recast, output enhancement, interaction enhancement,<\/li>\n<li><b>Explicit attention directing techniques:\u00a0<\/b>Dictogloss, processing instruction,<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Nobita<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>He has a list of skills and CEFR\/ CEFR-J can do lists.
