I thought, &#8220;How lucky!&#8221; at that time. I asked my father to buy me a new one. <strong>In the Japanese translation, &#8220;one&#8221; is the bike but the author argues it could be the chain.<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The use of &#8220;So&#8221;<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>So is used to refer to a natural consequence. However, in the textbook:<\/p>\n<p>My hometown has an exciting summer festival. Also, some foreigners come to see the summer festival. So, I hope everyone (recommended: more people) in the world will enjoy my hometown.<\/p>\n<p>Correct usage:<\/p>\n<p>My elevator was broken so I had to use the stairs.<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>The Elephant Story<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The elephants were killed in 1943 but the air raids started in 1944. The textbook argues that the elephants were killed because of the air raids but they did not start until well after the elephants died.<\/p>\n<p>Chapter 10: Writing English naturally<\/p>\n<p>The author argues that Japanese learners should write more specifically. For example<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Soccer is a very popular sport. I have three reasons that we like it. First, we can watch many games on television.<\/p>\n<p><strong>New version: <\/strong>Soccer is a very popular sport. I think there are three reasons why soccer is very popular. First, many soccer games are broadcasted.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<ul>\n<li>Strange responses<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>In the first grade textbook,<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>A: Hi, I am Michael Brown. I&#8217;m a new student.<\/p>\n<p>B: Oh, you are Mike.
