Procedure
Students have to retell a story in the textbook. There are two groups, each with different procedures.
- Group A: Show pictures and students speak ⇨ Free writing of what they presented + 3 times
- Group B: Show pictures with blanks, optional writing of one sentence and students speak ⇨ Free writing of what they presented + 3 times
Research question
- Can students do retelling with just pictures?
- Did students’ writing fluency increase through retelling?

- Does student listening comprehension on TED talks improve by repeating the listening track multiple times?
Method
Subjects answer a simple questionnaire about their listening ability and strategies
Subjects listen to a TED talk three times. The first time is at normal speed. The second time is at a slower speed. the third time is at a normal speed. After each time they answer multiple-choice comprehension questions about the listening.

Subjects listen to two TED Talks in two different ways
Method 1: Normal speed, normal speed, normal speed
Method 2: Normal speed, slow speed
