Important dates: 6/4 (Fuzoku JHS Open Class); 6/6 ~ 6/12 James in Myanmar; 6/16 (ETM Plus students teach at Fuzoku JHS); 6/19 Niou ES open class; 7/3 (Ueda JHS Open Class);  7/12 (Yokohama test); 7/23 ~ 8/16 USA for James; 7/25~26 (Iwate & Fukushima Test); 7/27 Morioka City Hall; August 3 ~ March – Superwoman in the USA;  September 22: Kuji City Hall, test, (2nd test end of October); 10/20 – 10/26: 2 Thai teachers from Absorn and two from Wat N; 1/19?, Thesis

Crazy Chicken

May: Employment test, ongoing research, read books about actual teaching practice

June: 6/4, open school Fuzoku JHS, ongoing research (book), employment test

July: Think about effective teaching grammar, 7/25 ~ 26 First test!!!!

August: Make lesson plan for teaching grammar at ES.

September: Second test, practice her methodology from the research, make a questionnaire, restart the dance practice

October: Teaching practice at a JHS for two weeks, continue to practice her methodology. Research by using questionnaires.

November: Put together her thoughts and write her graduate thesis. Go to open schools as much as she can. Start to study for the Teaching Japanese as a Second Language test.

December: Continue to write her graduation thesis.

January: Submit the thesis

Chicken is not sure whether to develop her own methodology or to investigate the methodologies of practicing teachers. Next time, she will consider what she wants to do.

Superwoman:

May: Decide her theme in detail.

June ~ July: Watch English classes at Shiwa Dai-ichi JHS and support students who don’t understand. She can know about the content of English class and curriculum.

August ~ March: Compare a Japanese and US foreign language and the USA. James’ advice: The classes should be at the same school level.

Sapphire:

May: Think about her thesis and decide the theme in detail.

June: Open school at Fuzoku ES and Nio ES. She will observe English classes at Nio.

July: She will take Kyousai on 7/12 in Yokohama. 7/25 + 26, Kyousai in Fukushima.

August: Study for second test.

September: Take second test.

October: Teaching practice in JHS for two weeks. Conduct a questionnaire and consider how ES and JHS English are connected.

November ~ January: Write her thesis.

Sassy

May: Job hunting in Tokyo. Take some companies’ web test. 1) Make a definition of ELF (English Lingua Franca) for her Master’s thesis. 2) Plan the methodology.

June: Recruit and interview teachers in JHS & company interviews.

July ~ August: Class observation and questionnaire to the students.

September: Analyze the results. Plan B, if no job in Japan look at attending international universities.

October: Take TOEFL (Talk to Superwoman).

 November & December: Plan B: Contact other college teachers.

January: Puean & Master’s thesis.

 Nobita 

Topic: How to teach vocabulary, teaching vocabulary instruction.

Methodology: Documents(books), interview about effective methods how to memorise  vocabulary.

May: Study for employee test

June: Interview his English teacher about vocabulary teaching.

July: Employment test.

August: 2nd test. Search for the vocabulary teaching by listening activities.

September: Employment test. He’ll search for speaking activities.

October: 2nd test. He’ll search for writing activities. Practice Chopin’s music.

November: He’ll put his thoughts together.

December: He’ll start to study for Eiken.

January: Eiken. Submit the graduation thesis.

February: Eiken 2nd test.
