Tamotsu went to the Tohoku Open Class Conference and was interested in how students were doing Q & A after the reading. Students were asking and questions like:
- This is Ms. Wood? (Instead of “Is this Ms. Wood?”)
- She can make origami.
It was easy for students to make questions about the pictures but difficult to make questions about the dialogue. They were making questions about the dialogue and pictures.
The big question for today is
What is the timing for providing feedback?
Tamotsu’s idea is “Try – check and learn – try”
Kuriyagawa ES does something similar: Try → Share (Good points, grammar point, etc.) → try
