How to conduct a mixed level class

  • How to make children effective learners:
    • Set goals + pupils check if they have achieved them
    • have students think for themselves
    • Children are taught how to learn vocabulary, teach them how to learn
    • Teach children to be resourceful; teach them what resources are available while they are studying. How to find the meaning of a word when they are stuck. How to use the grammar in the sentence.
    • Teach learning strategies; how to read the text effectively, what to do if they hear unknown words in the CD
    • Teach children about pacing; indicate how much time should be taken to complete the task
    • Meet the individual needs of children using a variety of activities to cover different learning styles.
    • Cooperative group work; it allows children to work in their preferred learning style while developing their social skills.
    • Children should understand that each one plays a role in the group to help them complete the task on time.
    • Make a good relationship with students, make a good classroom climate for learning.
