In June, Sae did action research to develop students’ phoneme awareness. That is, students are familiar with the sounds of English.
Now, in November, she wants to develop students phonological awareness in both listening and writing. That is, she wants students to understand to understand how the combination of sounds can create words and recognize this in listening and writing.
Sae wants to incorporate sounds of letters into her lesson which might confuse students because of the way they are taught in Japanese class.
