Modes of Classroom Talk with Veronica

1)Classroom context (The pedagogic goal is to make a communicative environment, teacher tries to generate discussion)
2)Managerial (The pedagogic goal is to organize student learning)
3)Materials (Pedagogic and language goals center on the material being used. IRF pattern dominates)
4)Skills and systems (The pedagogic goal is to get students to produce accurate language or to practice a certain skill)
