I think that your research has the potential to be useful to university students. Because translation programs are getting better, we need to consider how to use them in a way that will benefit students. I think that pre-editing well requires a strong understanding of the nature of the difference between English and Japanese.

You said teachers should accept to use GT. But the result that we need to do post-editing, the score by native speaker was higher than by mechanical one didn’t support your first opinion, I think. This is controversial but interesting.

I could sympathize with the fact that, in the same way that we do not think about the structure of a sentence when we speak, the way we understand it includes nuances and omissions, and that translating it creates a sense of incongruity. I found it interesting to study the use of Google Translate as a tool.
