It was an important reminder for me that “university is supposed to develop character”.
Systematic student guidance is a topic that I was not familiar with. Of course, student guidance exists at Iwate University but it is up to each professor.

Here are some further observations:

• How are you going to compare students’ and teachers’ perspectives without data from teachers?
• It is unclear to me what kind of data slides 19 to 21 are based on.
• You should explain your questionnaire more. How many people answered it? How did you make it? Etc.

This is just my personal opinion, but foreign language lectures are one of the few opportunities for communication in university life, and because this is held for first-year students, I thought this was a suitable venue for student guidance. I also thought that student guidance was necessary when students are unfamiliar with university life and feel anxious. However, I was surprised to find that this was not what the students wanted.
